MISSIONS MINISTRY

Following God’s commandment to “love our neighbours as ourselves”.

God’s vision for us as a church is to influence the nations. As we follow God’s commandment to “love our neighbours as ourselves” (Mark 12:31) and adopt Jesus’s heart for the marginalised, we have been inspired to run the following outreach initatives as part of our Missions Ministry.

INFLUENCING THE THE NATIONS

ORANG ASAL MINISTRY SEMENANJUNG
As part of God’s unique mandate for SIBKL to care for East Malaysia and our Orang Asals, we are committed to supporting and building OA churches and communities.
JUBILEE HOSTELS STUDENT SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
We believe that the Lord wants us to sow into the next generation in Sabah by providing students the opportunity to receive education and have a conducive place to live and learn. Sponsor a student as an individual or as a cell group.
PHILIPPINES MISSIONS
We started Sunday School and Youth groups to help kids and youths to learn more about Lord Jesus. These gatherings are located in a small island called Siquijor. There are now 20 Sunday Schools and 15 Youth Groups around the island.
INDONESIAN MAIDS’ FELLOWSHIP
Our Indonesian maids have travelled far from their families and home churches to work here. The IMF helps them to grow spiritually.
ONLINE TUITION
Online Tuition made its debut in 2019 to help Bonggi students in Kudat, Sabah to improve in their English and Maths. It caters to both Primary & Secondary students. It is our hope that through Education, the rural communities can be empowered and enriched.
MYANMAR MISSIONS AND ORPHANAGES
The ministry started in 2008 when we helped villages that were devastated by Cyclone Nargis. Since then, the Lord led us to help orphanages and slum children as well as planting churches.
FILIPINO FELLOWSHIP
The Filipino Fellowship was started to provide an opportunity for the Filipino community to study the Word of God, fellowship, and worship together. Many are taking the step of baptism. We welcome more Filipinos to join us weekly!
ENGLISH TUITION OUTREACH PROGRAMME
We are a bunch of fun volunteers who share a love for eating, talking, going on outings and playing games. Our ETOP students are mainly Japanese students under the “Malaysia My Second Home” (MM2H) programme.
